Thanks for Your Support!
Boyd Community Center enriches lives and strengthens our community through quality classes, camps, workshops, and memorable special events. During these challenging economic times, we’re here to serve you. And, we need you now more than ever to support our mission with your charitable donation.
As a non-profit organization we depend on your donations each year as an integral part of our operation. With your help, we will continue to provide a much needed close to home resource for you, your family, and your community.
Funds from donations support instructor fees, materials and supplies, and related overhead costs including facility upkeep and utilities.
If you haven’t visited lately, stop by to see what’s new! Under the direction of Executive Director, Stephanie Flom, the Boyd staff is working hard to respond to your needs and requests:
- Expanded Adult Fitness Program More of what you asked for and more flexibility when taking classes. We’ve added more choices for cardio, strength training, and yoga. Register for the ongoing classes by session or purchase a FlexFit card and attend when it is most convenient for you.
- Exciting Special Events Hundreds of community members attended our Bollywood at Boyd event celebrating Indian Culture last Spring and our Summer Solstice Celebration in June featuring a picnic and live music in our beautiful park. Our new Kid’s Night Out event in December offers programmed activities for the kids while you finish up those important pre-holiday tasks! Watch for more events next year for the whole family.
- High Quality Programs and Partnerships Our continued partnership with CLO and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre brings the best quality dance and theater instruction to your doorstep. Our partnership with O’Hara Township brings our programming to area parks. And new this year, partnerships with i9 basketball and Sullivan Driving School expand our offerings for school and teen-aged children.
A vibrant Community Center means a vibrant community. Even if you don’t use the Boyd Community Center yourself, remember that neighbors of all ages benefit from your support. Please make a generous contribution to hep us bring excellence to our community…right here in your own backyard.
