About our camps

Boyd Community Center offers a wide variety of high quality fun and educational summer camps for preschool and school-aged children. Each camp teaches age-appropriate skills and provides avenues of exploration through hands-on projects and activities in a social environment. Weather permitting, camps take full advantage of 11 acres of outdoor green space including playing fields, courts, gardens, and picnic areas. Instructors
Boyd Community Center is committed to hiring the very best instructors who bring excellent experience and educational qualifications in their field of expertise as well as a strong commitment and enthusiasm to working with children. All Boyd instructors and staff have current Pennsylvania Act 33 and 34 clearances.

Extended Care
Extended care is available from 3:30-6:00 pm each day for an additional fee of $5.00 per child, per hour. Advanced registration of at least 24 hours is required and there are no refunds on the fee.

Who May Attend
Children enrolling for preschool camps must turn three on or before the start date of the camp and should be comfortable participating without a parent or guardian present. Children enrolling in camps for 6-10 year olds must turn 6 on or before the
start date of the camp, or have completed kindergarten prior to attending camp. Because of staff and facilities limitations, children registering for camps must be potty trained. Boyd Community Center welcomes children of all abilities. We are happy to answer
questions or talk with you about how we can make camps at Boyd a fun and rewarding experience for your child. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or would like more information not contained in this catalog. Financial assistance is
available to qualifying families. Contact our office for a financial aid application.
